3 Mo' Divas

If you missed this extraodinary musical that ran in Toronto from March 11th to 16th, then you truly missed out on a fanastic show. Lively, entertaining, uplifting and completely enjoyable. It was a perfect afternoon matinee. It's unfortunately it only ran for such a short time. It's one of the few shows that I would go and see again. I highly recommend it.

Here is the official description of the show. And for further information please refer to http://www.3modivas.com/

3 Mo’ Divas is an exciting musical journey celebrating the amazing versatility of the female voice! The theatrically staged concert is a magnificently entertaining evening performed by some of the most phenomenal talent the world has to offer. It follows the great success of Broadway writer/director Marion J. Caffey’s international hit Three Mo’ Tenors. Caffey was originally inspired by the mega hit, The Three Tenors in concert, and the subsequent success of his Three Mo’ Tenors naturally makes way for a sister act - 3 Mo’ Divas.
The first requirement in casting, is that each Diva has serious classical training and extraordinary vocal versatility. A rare sight indeed is to see the same three singers span 400 years of music and cover 8 musical styles: Opera, Broadway, Jazz, Blues, Soul, R&B, Spirituals, and Gospel; all in one evening. The broad range of the program delivers some all-time favorites, and the power and versatility of the Divas allows them to do it with class, sass and style. Versatility is the strength of these women and the strength of the show, in other words, Opera sounds like Opera and Jazz sounds like Jazz and it all sounds like fun!
The concert opens with the Divas showing off their critically acclaimed classical skills, but quickly launches into a fantastic, musical feast. Music lovers of all tastes and ages will enjoy this evening and no one is left out - from connoisseurs of Bach - to fans of Beyonce’. As Mr. Caffey likes to say, “This ain’t your Daddy’s Opera baby”.
An excellent and spectacular concert for the entire family, 3 Mo’ Divas is guaranteed to have audiences standing and cheering for Mo’!
