Politics, Religion and High Fashion- The Not-So Chic Pope

Who can better represent politics, religion and fashion in the most extreme way other than the current Pope. Pope Benedict best known for being the head of the Vatican church, rumour to have a flare for young gay men (who need forgiveness, if you know what I mean), Also has a taste for expensive garments. Long gone the old traditional dull clerical wear that doesn't highlight you best attributes. This Pope, regardless of having a backwards thinking approach on where the church and state should move towards, has brought some modern accessories to the formal gowns.
There are no sins in wearing Prada especially when it’s a pair of red shoes that will draw away the attention of the boring white clerical gown. I believe that it made him feel like Dorethy in the Wizard of Oz. Don't all us gay men feel like Dorethy ever now and again. Lost in a strange land. How about the many delightful hats he wears. Again if you are the Pope, why continuously wear those boring and none trendy head garments. First of all they don't provide the best coverage from the sun. Plus they don't draw any attention to face (like it matters) and attention away from the larger mid section. He is the Pope and wants to feel like the biggest Queen of them all. So why not wear different head pieces that look similar to the various Royal Queens.

Additional comments:

It was reported in "The Tablet," a Roman Catholic newspaper in England, Pope Benedict ditched long-time tailor (Annibale Gammarelli), whose firm has been serving the Vatican since 1792.

The paper also pointed out the new pope's expensive sunglasses and shoes -- and we thought only "tired queens" wore expensive designer clothes. In addition to designer sunglasses, the Pope has favored padded quilt jackets, jumpsuits, baseball caps.

So when is the Pope's clothing line coming out?
